Board Opportunity with Global Paint for Charity
Global Paint for Charity
The Global Paint for Charity or globalpaints.org is a sustainable paint waste management platform that works with residents, businesses, and large paint manufacturers like Sherwin Williams, PPG, Valspar, and Benjamin Moore in a win-win-win collective approach to recycle left-over and unused paint to change lives and beautify underserved communities around the world.
Since 2010, as many as 320,000 tons of discarded paints have been removed from the waste stream, recycled, then shipped to 44 countries in West Africa, the Caribbean, Central & South America, and targeted cities right here in the U.S. The goal is to use colors to promote a sustainable, healthy, and beautiful environment while boosting people's confidence and happiness, and assisting vulnerable individuals in reaching their full potential, one gallon of paint at a time.
Non-Profit/Volunteer
Global Paint is currently looking for individuals who are interested in its mission to serve those in need around the world. If you are interested in joining our Board of Directors or learning more about our organization, please let us know.
We meet as a Board 4 times a year (before Covid19, now we will meet virtually). There are also Committees that meet throughout the year. We are in need of a full board of new directors with diverse backgrounds such as Accounting and Finance, Non-profit, Legal, Environment, Logistics & Supply Chain, PR & Marketing as well as Communication and Government.
The Board will support the work of Global Paint, and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. Passion for the mission as leaders of the organization is paramount. While day-to-day operations are led by the Executive Director, the Board-Executive Director relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected.
