According to a WTCA announcement issued last week, the WTCA’s China Business Alliance will leverage its worldwide network to develop trade and investment between China and Georgia.

More specifically, the alliance seeks to become the focal point for Georgia-China commerce, to identify and facilitate foreign direct investment from China into Georgia, to assist Georgia companies and to assist Georgia companies do business in China.

Sen. Sam Zamarripa, D-Atlanta, launched the initiative last year when he introduced a resolution in the state Senate calling for an examination of Georgia’s current and future relationships with China.

The WTCA’s China Business Alliance is in the process of identifying among its own members and others who would be interested in participating.
