Kofi A. Boateng, chief operating officer of the New York-based World Trade Centers Association, will speak at the annual membership meeting of the association’s Atlanta chapter.

The World Trade Center Atlanta will host the meeting June 9 from 6-8 p.m. at its offices at 303 Peachtree St.

The World Trade Centers Association is a network of more than 100 centers promoting international business and trade around the world.

A native of Ghana, Mr. Boateng joined the WTC Association as COO on April 19, transferring from the same position at the Africa America Institute in New York. He helped that U.S. government-funded organization transition into the private sector.

Mr. Boateng has had a long career as an accountant and manager. He helped raise more than $30 million for the National Puerto Rican Forum in five years as the organization’s executive director.
