The World Trade Center Atlanta will this summer offer the Foreign Policy Association‘s Great Decision’s discussion series for the first time.
The workshops, which have been provided through various organizations in Atlanta since the early 1990s, are part of a national initiative developed annually since 1954 by the Foreign Policy Association, which offers educational programs on world issues.
“Having the workshops at the WTC-Atlanta in the early evening is convenient to businesspersons who work downtown,” said Dimitri Moore, the Atlanta businessman who arranged for the series to be held there.
He said he expected the workshops to attract a cross-section of businesspeople, adding that an understanding of U.S. policy and its impact on international trade flows is vitally important for companies doing business in an increasingly global environment.
European economic integration, international aid and the development of Chinese industry are among the topics to be discussed during sessions, as well as lectures focused on Afghanistan, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
A speaker is to lead each weekly session, followed by participant discussion.
Cost for the nine-session series, including reading materials, is $50. Contact the WTC-Atlanta at (404) 880-9595.
