Zimbabwe-based NMB Bank Ltd. has upgraded the credit-card processing platform provided by Columbus, Ga.-based payment-processing firm Total System Services Inc., or TSYS.
The deal with the southern African bank is another win for the company in Africa. The announcement that NMB Bank would deploy the PRIME 4 card-management program came a week after TSYS announced the celebration of 15 years of partnership with a bank in Kenya.
TSYS has clients in more than 70 countries, including the largest banks in Africa’s major economies, including South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya. The company entered Africa in 1994 and maintains its regional headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
