Equifax Inc. is set to invest $17 million to open a new office in Midtown, just down the street from its global headquarters.
The company, which has gone from a credit bureau to a diversified provider of information and data to help companies make decisions on financing and marketing, will bring 650 jobs to into the city and create 150 new positions.
The relocation in mid-2017 is to include the lease of 100,000 square feet at One Atlantic Center, a 50-story skyscraper at the corner of 14th and West Peachtree streets.
Equifax has operations or investments in 21 countries. The company just opened new support centers in Ireland and Auburn, Ala. It also recently acquired an Australian firm for $1.9 billion.
Global Atlanta in February visited the company’s Argentina headquarters and is working on a report on its Latin American operations.
