Atlanta Jazz International Sounds Series: Jamaica’s Kirk Green

Jamaica’s Kirk Green (Bassist / Composer / Filmmaker) leads the October showcase of Atlanta’s first ever monthly cultural exchange event featuring Top International Artists based in Georgia, presented by Cultural Ambassador and America’s Songbird of the South Myrna Clayton along with CedarTree Worldwide Productions.
Kirk Green is an award-winning bassist, composer, filmmaker, and performing artist born in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Kirk has performed in cozy intimate venues to large theaters and arenas, including headlining his own show two years in a row at the Mizner Park Amphitheater Boca Raton, FL as a part of their Sunset music series. Adept at many styles of music, Kirk has also worked with many local and international musicians such as legendary jazz trumpeter Melton Mustafa, the late saxophonist Grover Washington, bassist Victor Wooten, and countless others. He has toured with recording artist Joss Stone, and was the musical director for Lauryn Hill. He is currently working and performing with three time Grammy winning producer, Kenny Bartolomei.
