Kerry Tymchuk Oregon Historical Society: As Executive Director of Portland’s iconic Historical Museum that was brutalized by Portland protestors last week, Kerry has much to say about why we should not cancel history or discount historical figures. Mr. Tymchuk was selected as the 2018 Statesman of the Year, an award that has been presented since 2001 and recognizes Oregonians for extraordinary achievements in public service, consensus building, and forging collaborative solutions to critical issues facing the state. Kerry is a 1981 graduate of Willamette University and a 1984 graduate of Willamette University College of Law. He has worked for U.S. Senator Bob Dole and U.S. Senator Gordon Smith.

The collection in Atlanta preserves and interprets Georgia history, art, culture and philanthropic heritage and highlights Georgia’s historical and aesthetic relevance to the United States and to the world. In 2006, the Foundation received the Palladio Award for Millennium Gate as the best new public space in the United States.

EDUCATING for PEACE the WHOLISTIC PEACE INSTITUTE

Gary co-founded the Wholistic Peace Institute in 2000 with Senator Mark Hatfield and Oregon’s Senior Religious Leaders to bring and work with Nobel Peace Laureates to Oregon. Nancy is presently the Institute’s Executive Director. Wholistic Peace Institute is Educating for Peace, a research teaching and peacebuilding non-profit organization in Oregon that provides avenues for learning about world peace building and provides tools for transforming and inspiring a culture of peace around the globe.
