Korea-US: Presidents Moon & Biden Strengthen Ties

On May 21, President Biden hosted South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the White House. The following day President Moon visited the new SK Battery America factory in Commerce, GA. Cooperation and collaboration on a wide range of political, trade, and security issues is strategically important for both nations as we work to defuse the nuclear threat from North Korea and face heightened geopolitical competition with China.

On June 23 Kathleen Stephens and Mark Lippert, both former U.S. Ambassadors to South Korea, return to the World Affairs Council to discuss the US-Korea alliance under Presidents Moon and Biden.
