Strategic Challenges and Opportunities for the United States: Is the Post-War Order Over?

The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and the World Affairs Council of Atlanta are proud to present Strategic Challenges and Opportunities for the United States: Is the Post-War Order Over?, a conversation between Ambassador David Satterfield, former U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye and Lebanon, and Ambassador Lawrence Silverman, former U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait and Nunn School Professor of the Practice. Opening remarks will be delivered by Rickey Bevington, President of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta.

One of America’s most decorated and perceptive diplomats, Ambassador David M. Satterfield, will provide expert analysis and insight for the next generation of potential policymakers and diplomats. Ambassador Satterfield will provide a clear and insightful tour of a world characterized by weakened rules of international order and institutions, growing competition from China and Russia, challenges to national sovereignty and technological leadership, as well as threats from Iran, North Korea, and other countries.
