In 1961, President Kennedy in a speech in the Canadian Parliament said, “Geography has made us neighbors. History has made us friends. Economics has made us partners. And necessity has made us allies.” It is no surprise that President Biden’s first meeting with a foreign leader was with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
