The Hispanic National Bar Association’s 30th annual convention should prove to be a venue for Atlanta companies to encounter Hispanic attorneys with expertise in international business law, said Luis Aguilar, co-chair of the convention and general counsel for Invesco Inc.
The convention will take place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Buckhead, Oct. 16-19.
“A good portion of our practice tends to be internationally focused with a heavy emphasis on Latin America,” Mr. Aguilar told GlobalFax, referring to association members’ legal expertise. He added that several of the continuing legal education seminars being held during the convention highlight Latin American issues and immigration.
The convention will include an exhibition of services and products by legal and non-legal vendors and employers, a law student job fair, continuing legal education seminars and after-hours receptions. The event will culminate with a gala dinner on Saturday, Oct. 19.
