Mike Gomez, a recipient of the Metro Atlanta Chamber‘s Global Impact Award in 2010, has launched a new company titled the Motum Group that is to provide consulting services for deals involving sales of more than $100 million.
Joined by Steve Krause, who along with Mr. Gomez has experience in the sale of military aircraft, the company is to provide sales campaign assessment, strategy development and follow-on advisory services for firms trying to win large, complex sales orders.
Mr. Gomez said that he had the idea for the new company as he followed the evolution of the Atlanta Braves 41,500-seat, $672 million ballpark and mixed-use development competition.
“There are major costs involved to compete in these competitions and formidable personal and company-wide consequences for the loser,” he said in a statement. “We know from experience our assessment process will give our clients the best shot at never having to experience that pain.”
According to the release, Mr. Gomez and Mr. Krause have advised companies competing for international sales with competitors from the U.S., South Africa, Italy, Russia, France and the United Kingdom.
