Atlanta-based itaas Inc., a provider of Internet television (iTV) solutions and video on demand (VOD) products, has deployed its VOD monitoring and reporting platform at Videotron Telecom Ltee. in Montreal.
The system helps Videotron, increase its operational efficiencies and monitor activity across its entire VOD infrastructure. Videotron is a wholly owned subsidiary of Quebecor Media Inc., an integrated communications company engaged in cable television, interactive multimedia development, Internet access services, cable telephony and wireless services.
The itaas product gives near real-time information to help stabilize VOD systems.
With deployment in over 50 cable systems, the project is itaas’ first in the Canadian market.
