Atlanta officials, including executives from some of the city’s top technology companies, are making the city’s case as a mobility hub at the GSMA Mobile World Congress this week in Barcelona.
A “Why Atlanta?” panel discussion on March 3 will feature AT&T Mobility President & CEO Glenn Lurie, Atlanta Falcons CTO Jared Miller, AirWatch by VMware Chairman Alan Dabbiere and Coca-Cola Co. CTO Jim Scholefield. Reed Peterson, the Atlanta-based global head of strategic engagement for GSMA, will moderate.
Another influential Atlanta executive on hand will be Ralph de la Vega, president of AT&T Mobile & Business Solutions, who will speak on a separate panel on “Keys to the Connected Lifestyle.”
YuppTV, an Alpharetta-based company that delivers video content in 12 Indian languages to online and through mobile apps, will operate a booth, as will the Metro Atlanta Chamber, which sent a delegation including Jorge Fernandez, vice president for global commerce.
