The Atlanta Women in International Trade (AWIT) will participate Saturday, Oct. 25, in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure to honor the memory of Marsha C. Towers, an AWIT founder and former commercial attachÈ for Quebec who died from breast cancer last year.

      The 5K race will start in front of the Civic Center and Scitrek on Piedmont Road.  A pre-run warm up will take place at 7:15 a.m. with the race beginning at 8:30 a.m.  A one-mile walk will begin at 8:05 a.m. for those who do not wish to run.

      Following the race a networking breakfast will be held at the Atlanta Bread Company in the Rio Shopping Center.
