A Belgium-based solar energy company will move its Americas headquarters from Sacramento, Calif., to Atlanta, bringing at least 30 jobs here over the next two years, the Georgia Department of Economic Development announced Thursday.
Enfinity Corp. cited Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and the “spirit of innovation” here as factors in choosing Atlanta.
It can take advantage of Georgia’s Center of Innovation for Energy, which provides companies with access to intellectual capital, college and university research, the state said in a news release.
Enfinity, founded in 2005, installs and helps finance solar power systems for commercial, municipal and utility customers. It has projects in 19 countries according to its Web site. Enfinity had $340 million in revenue last year, according to the Department of Economic Development.
The Metro Atlanta Chamber assisted the state in recruiting Enfinity.
