William Johnson, Case Corp.’s Atlanta-based product manager for Latin America, was in Buenos Aires last month for the launch of the company’s newest line of excavators in Argentina.
Argentina is the most recent Latin American country in which the excavators are being sold. Last year the company’s new “90 B series,” designed for large infrastructure projects and sold in North America since 1994, was launched in Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela.
Mr. Johnson told GlobalFax in a telephone interview that the company conducted extensive efforts to prepare potential users, contractors and distributors of the excavators for the launch including invitations to demonstrations at Case facilities in Wisconsin.
Case, a worldwide designer, manufacturer and distributor of agricultural and construction equipment headquartered in Racine, Wis., and Tokyo-based Sumitomo Construction Machinery Co. (SHI) entered into a global alliance in September to manufacture and market hydraulic crawler excavators globally.
