We caught up with Chavda Law’s founder, Jaymen Chavda, to learn more about the firm, its origins and why it’s focused intently on India, as well as many other countries. 

Global Atlanta: Tell us a little bit more about Chavda Law and its role in Atlanta’s global landscape.

Chavda Law (CLG) supports companies and start-ups, with outside general counsel services. Services include drafting and negotiating agreements, employment law, M&A services, risk management, internal governance, and litigation services. The firm works with numerous companies based in India, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Latin America, that either have a presence in Atlanta or are seeking to establish a presence in the U.S.

Why is it important for you to foster more discussion around India in Atlanta? 

With India having a goal of being at least a $5 trillion economy, the ties between India and Georgia will only be strengthened. CLG has deep understanding of both cultures and how business is conducted in each jurisdiction. There are countless companies that have cross-border relationships, and navigating the legal terrain in the United States can be daunting. Allowing CLG to provide solutions for foreign entities conducting business in Georgia allows the companies to do what they do best.

What are your upcoming plans for growth in India or beyond? What sets Chavda Law apart? 

CLG’s niche is providing general counsel support to international companies setting up a presence in the United States, either in Georgia, or elsewhere. We have an extensive network to allow clients to have a single source for legal and business needs, including partners that specialize in taxation.
