Coca-Cola Co. has restructured its Pacific division to reflect an expanded focus on Asia, particularly the three most populous markets: China, India and Indonesia.
The Pacific division will now be called Asia Pacific and is to include three primary units: Asia (including business units of Greater China, Korea, India and Southwest Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN), Japan and South Pacific, according to a news release from Coca-Cola India.
Atul Singh has been promoted to president of the Asia group, moving up from his position as deputy president over the Pacific. He will continue to report to Ahmet Bozer, president of Coca-Cola International, who is based in Atlanta. Venkatesh Kini, formerly deputy president of the India and Southwest Asia, will move up to the president position of that same unit.
