Delta Air Lines Inc. announced April 13 a new daily service to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, beginning Oct. 1.
The new flight is an addition to Delta’s current Brazilian destinations, which include two daily flights to Sao Paolo.
Flight #61 departs Atlanta at 8:35 p.m. and arrives in Rio at 7:10 a.m. the following day. Return flight #60 leaves Rio at 9:55 p.m. and arrives in Atlanta at 6:40 a.m. the next day.
A Boeing Corp. 767-300ER aircraft carrying 204 passengers will service the flight.
Other recently opened Delta flights to Latin America include a second daily flight to San Jose, Costa Rica, and a re-opened flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina, that both commenced Dec. 1, 2004.
