Sporting a bright pink ribbon, a specially marked Boeing 747 jet will fly on more than 30 Delta Air Lines routes to Europe as part of the airline’s annual awareness campaign for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Since 2005, Delta’s “pink planes” have traveled throughout the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe to raise awareness about breast cancer and help raise funds for the foundation, according to a Delta news release.
Major destinations on this year’s European tour include Moscow, London, Frankfurt and Madrid.
To kick off the tour, the plane flew across America from New York to Los Angeles in September in celebration of Delta’s eighth year supporting the foundation, a non-profit founded by founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993.
Delta will donate $1 to the foundation for the first 50,000 likes of its Facebook page during October.
