2020 France-Atlanta Event Series

Join the Consulate General of France in Atlanta and the Georgia Institute of Technology this October and November for the 11th edition of France-Atlanta.

On October 1, this edition will kick off with a virtual ceremony featuring the President of Georgia Tech Ángel Cabrera and Jonathan Gilad, Counselor for Ecology, Sustainable Development, Energy, and Transport at the Embassy of France in the United States. During a conversation moderated by Georgia Public Broadcasting’s Rickey Bevington, these two special guests will discuss how the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals have encouraged French-American cooperation.


This edition – which features artists, researchers, business leaders, and other experts from France and the United States – boasts a multidisciplinary program of over a dozen virtual events including: 


  • A French-American dialogue on the ethical management of artificial intelligence
  • Transformative “French Tech” communities in the U.S. Southeast
  • Global vaccine disruption: Ensuring equitable access in the era of COVID-19 
  • Transatlantic business trends webinar series organized by the French Foreign Trade Advisors for the U.S. Southeast
  • Creation and creativity between humans and machines
  • Business opportunities in the game and film industries in France & Georgia
  • New MississippiS: Some situated stories on contemporary ecologies
  • Impacting the future healthcare landscape: A discussion with Dr. Bruce Lavin, Chief Medical Officer at BioSerenity
  • An exchange between the executive directors of contemporary art museums in Atlanta and Toulouse
  • Education series: Teaching students about humanitarian work in the Francophone world
