With a stubbornly strong dollar, China slowing, Brazil struggling and Europe still in the doldrums, 2016 is expected to be a tough year for U.S. exports, which rode five years of momentum to a record $2.35 trillion in 2014.

Despite the headwinds, though, many Georgia companies have maintained or strengthened international sales, finding pockets of growth out in the wide world that have helped take their businesses to new heights — or kept them from regressing.
