Understanding the Transgender and Non-binary Communities

Join Intercultural Atlanta for an interactive evening of learning and conversation with transgender people and their allies.
Special guests will include:
Stephe Koontz, first out trans person elected to a public office in Georgia, currently serving on the Doraville City Council
Trans woman Gabrielle Claiborne, and advocate Linda Herzer, co-founders of Transformation Journeys Worldwide, a transgender-focused inclusion training and consulting firm.
The evening will include:
-Education provided by Transformation Journeys Worldwide
-Unconscious cultural assumptions about gender, and how they impact our understanding of trans and non- binary people
-Basic trans-related terms and identities
-The 3 aspects of transitioning: social, legal, physical
-Hearing personal stories
-Question and Answer session
