Luncheon: The Future of NATO — A Crack in the Alliance?
February 26 at 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
As the year begins, NATO finds itself in a new precarious position. Internal fracturing, distrust, and pervasive contemptuousness are corroding the alliance that has stood strong for the last 80 years. Former Supreme Allied Commander in Europe (SACEUR), and U.S. European Command Commander General (Ret.) Phil Breedlove will discuss what has sown this atmosphere of distrust, and how it might affect the future of NATO as a whole.
Delve into the Russian Federation’s involvement in the current state of NATO outside of the War in Ukraine. Gen (Ret.) Breedlove will explore how Russia is antagonizing the distrust behind the scenes and NATO’s preparedness to face another act of Russian aggression in the Baltics or elsewhere. It is important to know to what extent the organization is paralyzed by arguments surrounding policy and direction.
Please join for an invigorating discussion surrounding all of these concerns, and you will have the opportunity to ask the former Supreme Allied Commander in Europe your own pressing questions.
