Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Season Launch

Music Director Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra launch the new season with George Gershwin’s postcard from the French capital. The swinging showpiece that inspired the Academy Award-winning film and Tony Award-winning musical caps a night filled with American music, including “A Thousand Words” by the Orchestra’s own Michael Kurth. Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet is a Parisian in America as the soloist in Bernstein’s jazz-inspired Second Symphony.
