Book event: Saving Ourselves by Dana R. Fisher at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum

Author Dana R. Fisher will discuss her new book SAVING OURSELVES: From Climate Shocks to Climate Action with local Atlanta climate activist Katharine K. Wilkinson (founder of The All We Can Save Project). They will discuss demographic trends and changing tactics in the climate protest movement, how climate activists might impact the presidential election of 2024, and the importance of creating community support for climate protest. Books will be sold by A Capella Books.

Dana R. Fisher

Dana R. Fisher is one of the most widely respected researchers and experts on climate protest movements. She is director of the Center for Environment, Community, and Equity and a professor in the School of International Service at American University. Her books include Activism Inc. and American ResistanceSaving Ourselves published last month and has been widely covered in the Financial Times, Washington Post, Inside Climate News, Forbes, Rolling Stone, and more.

Katherine K. Wilkinson

Katharine K. Wilkinson is a homegrown Atlantan where she leads The All We Can Save Project, a nonprofit she co-founded with Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. Her books include the bestselling anthology All We Can Save and the New York Times bestseller Drawdown. She co-hosts the top 1% podcast A Matter of Degrees.
