Challenges Facing Europe: Germany’s Perspective

The World Affairs Council of Atlanta, in cooperation with the American Council on Germany (ACG) and supported by The Halle Foundation, will be hosting a luncheon discussion featuring Minister Helga Barth, Head of the Political Department of the German Embassy in Washington D.C. and Ambassador Detlev Ruenger, Consul General of Germany in Atlanta.

The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Steven Sokol, President of ACG, and cover transatlantic relations and topics related to the recent refugee crisis, the economic recession in Greece, and Germany’s influence and power within the European Union.
