Conference on Agricultural Solutions for Tomorrow

The World Affairs Council of Atlanta Young Leaders will present its ninth annual conference on Saturday, Feb. 25.  The daylong program, which will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, is themed “Agricultural Solutions for Tomorrow: Biotechnology, Agribusiness and Climate Smart Agriculture.”

The conference will focus on challenges and opportunities facing global agriculture. From seed development to international commodity markets, innovations are transforming the way crops are grown, transported and consumed.Keynote speakers and panelists from business, education, government and research will inform participants about the ways technology is impacting how growth, trade and consumption of agricultural goods.

Conference panels will focus on the business of agriculture, financing and commodity prices, balancing the need of food security while adapting to and mitigating climate change, and the ethics of agricultural development.
