Consular Conversations: Indonesia Consul General Luncheon
On October 15, join Global Atlanta for a discussion with Indonesia Consul General, Andre Siregar.
The discussion will include a one-on-one conversation with the Global Atlanta editorial team, followed by a moderated audience Q&A. A follow-up of the event will be published in an article following the discussion.
This event will take place in person at WIN-Taste of Bali restaurant. For public health and safety reasons, everyone attending in person must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and wear masks during event.
About Our Speaker:
Andre Omer Siregar serves as the Consul General Republic of Indonesia in Houston, which is accredited to Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands.
Consul Siregar holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand and two Masters degrees, namely a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Diplomacy and Trade from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
Mr. Andre Omer Siregar is a career diplomat and has been part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1998.

1999 | Assigned to East Timor as Official Observer in the Popular Consultation
2002 | Served as interpreter for President Megawati Soekarno Putri, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and Joko Widodo until 2014
2004 | Assigned to the Indonesian Permanent Mission in New York engaged in ECOSOC, 2nd Committee UN General Assembly, and UN Security Council until 2008
2011 | Served as the Interpreter/Assistant Special Staff for international relations for the President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono until 2014
2014 | Appointed Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Darwin, Northern Territory Australia until 2018
2018 | Appointed Director for Regional Cooperation in the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs managing 34 regional organisations in the Asia Pacific Africa until 2021; Indonesia’s Senior Official for PIF, MSG, APEC, IORA
2019 | Coordinator for Indonesia’s High- Level Dialogue for Indo Pacific Cooperation and Indonesia South Pacific Forum in Jakarta March 2019
