Diwali in Dunwoody : The Story of Diwali – A Forest Walk

Create Dunwoody invites you to join Dunwoody Nature Center and Stage Door Theatre for an enchanting reenactment of The Story of Diwali, the festival of lights! Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and rich traditions as we take a walk through time — a reenactment of the Story of Diwali – The Festival of Lights. Enjoy music, rangoli making, live performances and delicious sweets while being engulfed in a beautiful natural forest setting.

Whether you’re familiar with Diwali — The Festival of Lights or simply curious to learn more about this beautiful celebration, we welcome you to join us! This event is perfect for all ages.

What to expect: Each narrated forest walk is 30 minutes. You’ll experience a vibrant reenactment of The Story of Diwali — celebrating lights, joy, and triumph over darkness. Enjoy light refreshments and warm beverages along with surprise treats at the conclusion of the walk.

Location: Dunwoody Nature Center – 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338

Timing: Walks will begin promptly at the time selected during registration:

  • Group 1: 6:30pm
  • Group 2: 7:00pm

Parking: Parking is complimentary for guests. Guests are invited to park in the spaces available in the Dunwoody Nature Center parking lot. Additional parking is available in the upper lot of Austin Elementary School. We also encourage utilizing ride share to avoid any challenges with parking.
