Free poetry reading by U.S. Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera

Juan Felipe Herrera is the current (2015-present) and first Latino U.S. poet laureate. The author of poetry, short stories, young adult novels and children’s literature, Herrera won the National Book Critic’s Award in 2009. He is also a performance artist and activist for migrant and indigenous communities and at-risk youth. A signing will follow the reading, with books available for purchase.
