POSTPONED: Luncheon With Kenneth W. Stein – The U.S. and the Middle East: Policies Amidst a Fragmenting Region
January 17, 2018 at 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER.
Continuing conflicts and often escalating tensions make the Middle East a region of uncertainties. Syria and Iraq remain in turmoil. Saudi Arab vies for power in the region with Iran. Few can foresee a close to the war in Yemen. The Islamic State has lost nearly everywhere in Iraq and Syria, but the struggle against IS and is far from over, as it takes its efforts underground. Moreover, few see any evident signs of an end to the complexities that beset the future of Israeli-Palestinian relations.
The Atlanta Council on International Relations hopes you will be able to join on Wednesday, January 17, and hear Emory University Professor Ken Stein, one of America’s leading authorities on the Middle East, discuss the problems region confronts.
