January 23, 2018 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Emory students in the fall semester class “The Art of the Hindu Epic” curated the exhibition “Tell the Whole Storying from Beginning to End:” The Ramayana in Indian Painting. Join them in the gallery for a look at these intricately painted scenes from the great Sanskrit epic โ€” from the banishment of Prince Rama from the kingdom of Ayodhya, to the rescue of Sita, his wife, kidnapped by the demon Ravana, to his triumphant return and coronation.

After the talk, enjoy a traditional Indian feast and wine pairing orchestrated by Chef Archna Becker of Atlanta’s Bhojanic restaurant.

Fee: $65 for Carlos Museum members; $85 for nonmembers. Space is limited and registration is required.
