Reeling Out Georgia Film to the World

No wonder why you might run into celebrities when taking a stroll on the Beltline: Atlanta has become the “Hollywood of the South”. From 2008 to 2017, the industry has grown from $67.7 million to $2.7 billion in Georgia, creating thousands of jobs and hosting productions like “The Walking Dead”, “Stranger Things”, and Marvel’s hit “The Avenger: Infinity War”. Georgia indeed hosts some great venues for these productions, yet tax incentives were key for the film industry to boom in the ATL.
A panel of Atlanta’s most creative minds will explore how Georgia can remain internationally competitive, and describe their vision for the future of Atlanta’s film and TV production industries.
