Stand With Ukraine Series
This Spring, the world watched in horror as the situation in Ukraine became what is now the largest refugee crisis in Europe since WWII.
To continue shedding light on the relief efforts desperately needed in Ukraine, Atlanta is coming together for a series of events to be held from June 24th through July 4th at Aftercar, a retro-future-solarpunk-social-house on the Atlanta Beltline founded by Ryan Gravel.
This initiative will be anchored around a ‘Stand With Ukraine’ Poster Exhibition led by Curator and UCLA Design Media Arts Lecturer Olga Severina about the challenges and realities in Ukraine today. The exhibition will showcase 60 posters selected from over 1,000 submissions from across the world.
In addition to this exhibit, several events for children and adults will be held during the opening weekend and on America’s Independence Day, including a kid’s poster workshop and entertainment segments.
Generator, BrandCulture and PosterTerritory are hosting sponsors of this initiative. Supporting organizations include The Mayor’s Office of International Affairs, The Ukrainian Association of Graphic Designers, The Professional Association for Design, AIGA Atlanta and MODA. Proceeds for this initiative will be directed to CARE, one of the leading nonprofits delivering lifesaving aid in Eastern Europe and beyond
