The Push to End Human Trafficking feat. Attorney General of Georgia Chris Carr
October 20, 2020 at 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm
Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in Georgia.
Chris Carr, the Attorney General of Georgia, has been working since 2011 for stronger human trafficking legislation in Georgia. In 2019, as the new Attorney General of the State, he created the state’s first-ever Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit at the Department of Law. The unit works with statewide partners to aggressively combat buyers and traffickers.
AG Carr will discuss the impact of his initiatives to fight trafficking in and through Georgia, the challenges in ending human trafficking worldwide, and share his thoughts on how citizens can be part of this fight.
