Turkey: A Reliable Ally to Combat ISIS?

November 18, 2015 at 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

While fighting against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) at the border of Syria, Turkey has also been dealing with another enemy: the Islamic State (ISIS). Despite the Turkish government saying it is ready to fight all enemies of its national interest, many observers believe it is more interested in one enemy than the other. Which one is it and is Turkey a reliable ally to combat ISIS?

This talk is free and open to the public, but guests should register online to attend. Paid visitor parking is available at Oxford Road Visitor’s Deck and Peavine Visitor’s Lot.

A reception will follow the event.

This event is co-sponsored by the American Turkish Friendship Council and Emory College of Arts and Sciences.
