Unconscious Bias in Communications
July 15, 2020 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Unconscious—or implicit—bias has garnered a lot of attention recently in light of current events and developments. This session will provide a brief overview of what unconscious bias is, how it “works” and what we can do to mitigate its effect when we communicate with others at work and in our personal lives. We will also address how bias might show up at the “German-US cultural divide” and create misunderstandings and misperceptions.
