Fado Irish Pub early next year is slated to open a second Atlanta location in Midtown at the Shops of Metropolis at the corner of 8th and Peachtree streets.
“We have been looking for the ideal Midtown location for quite some time and we think we have found it at Metropolis,” said Fado founding partner Kieran McGill. “Irish pubs, In addition to being social centers, now include savory food, local beers and excellent cocktails. We’re excited to bring a 2015 vintage pub to Midtown residents, neighbors and workers alike.”
Fado’s inaugural Atlanta location opened in 1996 as the first to be constructed with furnishings made in Ireland by the Irish Pub Co. and shipped across the Atlantic. The Buckhead location, which opened in 2007 after the planned closure of the first location, has become one of the city’s go-to haunts for watching international soccer matches.
The new Midtown location will feature an updated Irish pub design created and shipped from Dublin.
It also puts Fado in more direct competition with RiRa, another Irish pub located just off Peachtree Street at the corner of Crescent Avenue and 11th, a few blocks away from the new Fado location.
Fado has locations in 13 U.S. cities. Learn more here.
