The Philippines holds opportunities for Georgia food franchises such as Atlanta-based Blimpie International and for environmental product manufacturers including Doraville-based Purafil Inc., a U.S. expert on the Philippines told GlobalFax last week.
Alma Madrazo, director of technology cooperation at the U.S.-Asia Environmental Partnership (US-AEP) and representative of the U.S. Commercial Service office in Manila, Philippines, visited Atlanta to meet with representatives of firms including Blimpie and Churchs Chicken about possibly participating in a trade mission and food franchising trade show in Manila in late September.
She said that more Georgia franchisers should consider participating in the trade mission, which will include visits to Malaysia and South Korea, and the trade show, where they could meet with potential franchisees.
