France and Atlanta boast strong ties.

The French-American Chamber of Commerce Atlanta has selected its new executive director, a familiar face at the chamber who brings to the role a variety of experiences across Europe and beyond.

Katherine Lafourcade

Taking up the role officially Jan. 1, Katherine Lafourcade is originally from the United Kingdom, but the French-speaking Brit has lived in Paris, Nantes and Switzerland, the latter being her last location before coming to the U.S. in 2019 with her two children and husband, Alain Lafourcade, president of the Swiss manufacturing subsidiary Fischer Connectors North and South America.

Ms. Lafourcade is a signed model with BMG Models who also has experience as an executive assistant for multinational firms including Galderma, a provider of skin care products. She is a graduate of Aston University in Birmingham, U.K.

She replaces Julie Lambotte, who recently returned to Belgium, where her husband took a new position with Solvay. Ms. Lambotte’s term coincided with the chamber’s recent office move to the CuriosityLab in Peachtree Corners.
