Georgia has been named the top state in the country for business by a leading economic development magazine for the second year in a row. 

This time, it’s Area Development magazine that ranked Georgia No. 1 after asking site-selection consultants to rate states in 18 different categories. The state’s infrastructure, regulatory climate and workforce development programs were lauded as helping the state unseat longtime favorite Texas

Site Selection magazine, a competitor of Area Development, ranked Georgia No. 1 in November 2013. CNBC in June ranked Georgia the top state for business, jumping from No. 8 in last year’s survey.
