Gov. Sonny Perdue has named Joseph Rogers Jr. of Atlanta, chairman and chief executive officer of Waffle House Inc., and David Perdue Jr. of Sea Island, a former Reebok International vice president, as board members of the Georgia Ports Authority.

James Lientz of Atlanta, a partner in executive coaching firm SafeHarbor Consulting and the state’s former chief operating officer, has switched from an ex-officio member of the board to a regular member. 

Trey Childress, who replaces Mr. Lientz as state chief operating officer, has been named an ex-officio member of the authority.
