A few of the destinations Gwinnett Chamber members will visit on the two-country trip.

The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce is set to lead a group of its top-tier members on a trip to the United Arab Emirates and India in February 2023.

During the trip, branded EMBARK, Gwinnettians will soak up sights like the world’s tallest building in Dubai, the Burj al-Khalifa, as well as the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.

The eight-day trip will include excursions like a desert safari and cultural experiences like a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, blending these with business networking and diplomatic engagement opportunities. U.S. consuls general and ambassadors have been invited to meet with the group in both the UAE and in Delhi, India’s capital, where the group will spend the trip’s final two days. In addition to the Taj Mahal, the India leg will include stops at the Agra Fort, Lotus Temple and India Gate.

Beyond the baseline level of cultural enrichment attained through global travel, participants will gain the added benefit of building stronger relationships with their fellow travelers from metro Atlanta, said Nick Masino, president and CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber.

“The Gwinnett Chamber has worked to champion a program that marries executive-level connection with international travel experience,” Mr. Masino said in a news release.

The trip was originally planned to coincide with the Dubai World Expo earlier this year but was postponed due to concern at the time around Covid-related travel restrictions, especially in India. Tourist travel has fully resumed for vaccinated Americans headed to India.

Pricing starts at $6,250 for double occupancy including all airfare and accommodations (Taj Dubai in the UAE and Hyatt Regency in Delhi).  A $750 deposit is due upon registration, with the remaining balance due Nov. 1.

Membership in the Chairman’s Club of the Gwinnett Chamber is preferred for registrants. To learn more about joining as a member, contact Avery Jarrard at ajarrard@gwinnettchamber.org.
