The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce on March 30 will begin offering a four-week course on conversational Mandarin Chinese.

The course will introduce practical topics like greetings, phone calls, shopping, ordering food and more. It’s open to individuals interested in the language or companies doing business with Chinese partners or planning trips to China.

Teachers from the Chinese Cultural School in Gwinnett County are native Chinese speakers who are also fluent in English.

The weekly courses will last an hour and a half. They are offered at the chamber on Wednesdays from 5:30-7 p.m. or at the cultural school on Saturdays from 2-3:30 p.m.

The cost is $249 or $99 for chamber members.
