Partnership Gwinnett, a community economic development initiative run out of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, has won an international award for its global business outreach. 

The International Economic Development Council honored Gwinnett with its silver award of excellence, recognizing the county as one of the nation’s top communities of more than 500,000 people for responding to globalization. 

The council highlighted elements of the chamber’s global business recruitment strategy including a sister-community agreement with the Korean locale of Gangnam-gu, the chamber’s coordination of trade missions and hosting of inbound delegations and its micro website, GwinnettGlobal.com

At the awards ceremony held in Fort Worth, Texas, Partnership Gwinnett also took home a bronze award of excellence in the Multi-Year Economic Development Program category for its public-private partnership to boost jobs and investment in the county.
