John E. Parkerson Jr., the honorary consul of Hungary based in Atlanta, has joined the law firm Hall Booth Smith and Slover PC to provide counseling on general corporate matters as well as international transactions.
Since 2007 Mr. Parkerson has served as Hungary’s honorary consul for Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas. He also is president of the World Trade Center Atlanta and is director of international programs at Clayton State University College of Business.
John E. Hall Jr., a founding partner of the firm, told GlobalAtlanta that Mr. Parkerson will further strengthen the firm’s growing international practice. Mr. Hall serves as honorary consul of the country of Georgia.
The firm also is involved in the following local organizations: German American Chamber of Commerce, Netherlands-American Chamber of Commerce of the Southeastern United States and the Georgia Economic Developers Association.
Prior to joining Hall Booth, Mr. Parkerson was a partner at FSB FisherBroyles LLP and served as international counsel of Delta Air Lines Inc.
Mr. Parkerson is a graduate of Emory University and the Emory University School of Law. He holds a master’s degree in international relations from Boston University, a master’s degree in history from Emory University and is an honor graduate of the U.S. Army Command General Staff College. He also received a master of law degree in international and comparative law from the Georgia Washington University School of Law, graduating with highest honors.
