Vietnam is one of many markets Acclime serves in the region.

Editor’s note: This is a sponsored post announcing Acclime’s backing of Global Atlanta’s Asia Channel. Subscribe to our monthly Asia newsletter here.

Global Atlanta is pleased to announce that professional services firm Acclime has become the exclusive annual sponsor of our Asia coverage, helping underpin our continued reporting on a region that dominates the state’s overall trade ties and accounts for much of its new inbound investment.

Global Atlanta categorizes its reporting around spotlighted country, region and topic Channels, providing targeted monthly email newsletters helping our readers more easily drill down to the stories that matter most to them.

Acclime’s steadfast support will help our journalists surface stories about Asia across the metro area, providing the kind of deep insight only possible through our ongoing editorial dedication to the topic and a more-than-30-year news archive.

We caught up with Jabril Mujahid-Alexander, Acclime’s Business Development Director for the Southeast U.S., to learn more about how Acclime helps companies “advance in Asia.”

Global Atlanta: Tell us a bit about your company and its role in Atlanta’s global landscape.

Jabril: Acclime is a corporate services firm that supports companies expanding internationally into 12 countries across the APAC region, including Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Australia and India. In each or our jurisdictions, Acclime provides a wealth of local expertise and knowledge, helping navigate market-specific intricacies and nuances. In addition to company incorporation, bank account opening, and initial set up processes, our full-suite of services include ongoing government compliance, corporate governance, accounting, payroll and tax support for our clients’ Asia-Pacific subsidiaries.

Why is important for you to foster more discussion around Asia in Atlanta?

Acclime has made a full commitment to the ASEAN region with offices in over 12 countries within the region.

As a regional expert provider of corporate services, Acclime helps corporate and private clients seamlessly advance their businesses and interests in difficult-to-navigate markets across the APAC region, including China, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Australia, and more. Acclime’s years of in-market experience and in-depth knowledge help our clients to avoid pitfalls and make progress faster.

Acclime provides a full-suite of services from company incorporation, formation, and bank account opening through ongoing compliance, accounting, payroll, and tax. Acclime also provides directly managed PEO services for those clients that need employees in-market but do not yet require a formal corporate presence.

What are some upcoming initiatives and events that people can latch onto?

At the moment, we are planning a webinar for Atlanta companies about “Expanding into Vietnam” to take place in May. The webinar will be hosted by Acclime and include presentations from our on-the-ground experts as well as client case-studies.

The webinar will be a strictly educational presentation on the opportunities and challenges of the Vietnamese market. We have also initiated discussions for collaborative relationships with the U.S. Commercial Service, Metro Atlanta Chamber, Technology Association of Georgia, Georgia Game Developers Association, UGA Small Business Development Centers, and of course, Global Atlanta.

Additionally, we want to plan a specific outreach program to speak with startup life science companies from Atlanta about the significant benefits of doing clinical trials in Australia. There are scientific and regulatory benefits as well as very generous financial incentives available to companies doing R&D in Australia.

Why did you choose to sponsor a channel through Global Atlanta?

During a recent in-person meeting with Trevor Williams and Michal Jensby from Global Atlanta, Blair Lucas (Acclime’s Group BD Director) and I learned about the scope, history and commitment of Global Atlanta to the international community here. It was obvious to us that Acclime’s Southeastern office should work with your organization to expand our networks in Atlanta and reach more companies that are interested in learning about expanding into the APAC region.
